Back and ready to vent

20505882612_0_alb.jpgSo Sheeeeeehan has retired to take care of her “other living children”-well good-cause, well thats what parents should be doing.

For the past, I don’t know? 3 years she has done nothing but gripe about her son’s death was a mistake because the US is wasting time, money and other resources on a war that she claims should never be.

I am forced to remind you she is also the same mother of a soilder that went to the White House for a speach and meeting with President Bush to acknowledge her son’s death because of his serving in the military. She present the crowd with a speach that included words directly quoted from her son that read “Serving in the military is the least I can do for my country”…and saying this is what HE wanted. Well, when you join the military is that not what your suposed to feel? obviously not…so lets review why and you can, I am sure depict my anger.

The military, what is it? It is a uniformed group of men and women, from the ages of 18 and older that have willingly decided to enroll and become part of a group, unit and team that is to serve, protect and follow protocol of what they are trained for. From civil service, to special ops, people knowing, and willingly sign their rights of “basic civillian” away, to become private property of the US Military. From the time they join till they are stationed to where they need to be (from basic to assigning) the military alone has invested approx $80,000.00 in to this being. Feeding, clothing, medical, housing, transportation…you name it-they paid for it. They see this unit or being, as an investment-we keep them healthy, sain and active, and in return we get their service to well, serve and protect. Hell, “we will even throw in some free schooling for you” BINGO-hook line and sinker.

Free schooling. Depdending on what “broadcasting pod” your watching, they will show you one of two soliders. One who joined because they love their country and want to do anything for it because they feel it is a small price to pay for the rights they have had and upheld as citzens of the US, or they will show you the solider that is unhappy with the war, that says it should not be going on ect…can you tell which one I would rather hear about?

The one that takes his duties responsibly and as a soilder. The one that says-hey I joined NOT for free education, but to be a part of something, to be a someone that says “hey, it was hard, it was difficult but my brothers and sisters, my family and country needed it”. R.Lee Ermy said in Full Metal Jacket- “Marines die, that’s what we are there for”-Now, they shouldn’t die-but they know, its a good possiblity. Military’s should not have to exist, but they do because there are messed up people out there that like to mess things up for anyone (see the picture attached to remember).

Joining ANY branch of the military because of free education has GOT to stop. YOU want to know why they installed this as their MAJOR grab for joining? Because we have no Draft…Ponder that-ooo don’t hide behind politics and this and that. DO you think they would be hell bent on getting attention if a draft was installed? OR how about, like other nations have installed-a manditory 2 year service from healthy, 18-22 year olds (men and women). “will they bring the draft back?” Who knows, I hope not for one good reason-Sick and tired of hearing about the whiney little persons complaining that they are fighting because they are forced, their country sucks or whatever fill in the blank excuse you want. I want to see some REAL people out there say “I wish they WOULD install the draft to show people that I am not fighting a lost cause. I am fighting because I mean something, and I am something. I am fighting because I have the right to do this and many other things that SOME Americans take for granted”. THATS what I want to hear about.

That’s my gripe, and I am sticking to it!

People do things for a variety of reasons amd motivations, and if schooling motivates someone to enlist so be it, but indeed they must know that there are consequences and one could be going to war.

I do think the majority of our troops want to serve properly, and I for one am thankful for their service and their sarifices.

That’s it? Gee wiz woman that is the most polite rant that I’ve read in ages. Where’s the heavy artillery? The ICBMs? If you’re gonna rant about the nutjobs who don’t know what the world is about, why hold back? Cindy Sheehan is now on her second retirement tour? If she retires three more times, she’ll pass Barbra Stressant.
